Clarisse Valbon is a classical music composer. She was born in France and currently lives in New York City.

After first studying the violin with Nathalie Klein Saint-Arroman then Nicolas Fromageot, she joined the composition class taught by Denis Bosse (“Champs de l’Inaudible”, “La Lettre Volée”) and harmony class taught by Alain Besson at Cergy-Pontoise Conservatory of Music. In parallel she graduated from Sorbonne University Paris IV with a Maîtrise in Musicology, then graduated from Inseec Business School with a Master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Management.

Clarisse Valbon started writing the melodies that resonated in her head during her childhood. Her pieces have been performed by chamber ensembles and soloists in France and most recently in New York City at Carnegie Hall, New York City Bar Chamber Music Association, Consulate of France in New York, Brooklyn Chamber Players Music Salons, Kaufman Music Center, Kosciuszko Foundation and Tenri Cultural Institute.
