Lisa Hogan
Lisa Hogan is a composer, singer, songwriter and educator. She composes music for podcasts and is studying film composition at Juilliard. Her work won first prize in a concert series called the Ear in NYC. She was selected in France for Art & Science Days presented by Musinfo Association in the city of Bourges. Vox Novus 60×60 International Concert series also included her work in the Birmingham Alabama New Music Festival. Dr. Mary Logon Hastings performed her song cycle of Sara Teasdale poems at the 10th Annual Festival of Women Composers in February 2014 at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In January 2014, her work was presented for another Vox Novus 60×60's 10th Concert in Long Beach, California, as well as the Concert Series in Kansas City, Kansas as part of The Electronic Music Midwest Festival. She has been featured as a singer/performer; and released two albums of original material performing through the tri-state area. She holds an MA in Music Composition from the Aaron Copland School of Music/CUNY Queens College, and an undergraduate degree in English (AB) from Cornell University.
