Description: piano or harpsichord solo, or piano 4-hand, or flute with piano, or violin with piano, or guitar with mandolin. A version of this piece, composed for different instruments, was commissioned and premiered by the University of the Redlands' New Music Ensemble/Barney Childs. It combines various oriental scales with Satie-like lyricism. First performed by Elaine Comparone, Harpsichord, Beucker & Harpsichords; also performed at the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio; at Richmondtown Branch Library on Staten Island and 80 Langdon Street in San Francisco by Joseph Kubera; and in Allentown, Penn., by Elaine Comparone. This piece has been recorded as a mandolin and guitar duo in Germany, and as a piano solo by Nancy Boston. It is published by a German firm and available from an online distributor.
