Description: This set includes two traditional folk melodies from South America. La Vidalita is a song sung by the gaucho cattle herders of Uruguay and Argentina—very rubato and expressive. Las Tres Damas is a “joropo”-an extremely rhythmic, dynamic musical style, full of offbeat accents and syncopations, with added counter melodies. Other versions of this set include a harp ensemble version--which has a two harp base of professional players, (with optional easier parts)--and a harp, flute, viola trio.
