Description: "Unraveling the Linear" explores our relationship with time, moment to moment perception. But it may be an illusion, a result of complex interactions in timeless space. The piece unfolds in movements akin to Beethoven’s expanded sonata form as a point of departure, infusing it with electro-acoustic merging.   As we continue to face the paradox of the linear construct, the racing technologies may further disrupt our narratives and expectations, transcending the current understanding of our place in the universe. This music is an ode to that possibility. "Unraveling the Linear" is a Sylvan Winds/New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) commission.
