Description: “Wilde’s World” is a setting of the text “To L.L.” by Oscar Wilde. In order to re-create his turn-of-the -century world, the instruments of viola and guitar have been chosen to accompany the tenor. Some of the word settings are melismatic, in keeping with the decorative approach to art of the late 19th century. The setting is mostly through-composed, but some music and text recurs, mirroring repetitions in the text, such as references to rain
