Seed Money Grant Recipient, pianist, and composer Amy Wurtz is presenting an in-person concert on Saturday, April 19, 2025, to close out her virtual Women’s History Month concert series! Amy’s special online concert series featured 16 composers from New York Women Composers, showcasing their music and artistic voices across daily YouTube broadcasts.
The Women’s History Month project culminates in a live concert “The Women of New York and Chicago” on April 19, 2025, at the National Opera Center in New York City, featuring an audience-voted selection of works from the month. Get ready to be inspired by the diverse voices heard in piano music of women from these two iconic cities. Pianist Amy Wurtz plays selections from her recent Women’s History Month series by women composers both past and present, followed by an informal reception.
