New Works by New York City Women Composers| Skyline Bones

2025 Seed Money Grant recipients, Skyline Bones, will be performing “New Works by New York City Women Composers” at Opera America on January 25th, 2026, at 8:00 P.M(Rescheduled for February 7th at 7:00 P.M).
Skyline Bones, the New York City–based professional trombone trio, will present a special concert in collaboration with New York Women Composers (NYWC) featuring music by emerging and established composers from the NYWC community. The performance highlights the vibrant voices of today’s women creators through an intimate and dynamic brass ensemble setting.
The program includes works by: Ann Warren, Catherine Neville, Eleanor Aversa, and Faye Ellen Silverman.
Showcasing a wide range of styles, from lyrical and expressive writing to rhythmically charged contemporary techniques, these pieces have been written specifically for Skyline Bones and continue the ensemble’s mission to expand the repertoire for trombone trio and champion living composers.
Skyline Bones—William Lang (alto & tenor trombones), Nicholas Martin (tenor trombone), Jacob Elkin (bass trombone & tuba) —is known for its warm blend, adventurous programming, and commitment to community engagement. The ensemble has appeared throughout the New York metropolitan area in concerts supported by the Music Performance Trust Fund and local arts organizations.
